Mindfultalk.in started by pure serendipity!
Poor communication gets in the way…
In the summer of 2021, we got one of our websites redesigned. When we commenced the project, the business owner introduced us to the website developer. Thereafter, all our interactions were only with the developer; the quality of our interactions was suboptimal.
He could articulate only in Hindi and our skills in Hindi are inadequate.
We spent much time and effort explaining our requirements. Finally, after much deliberation, we decided to complete the website by ourselves to save time.
It wasn’t the first time…
This experience was not the first for us – a few years earlier, we had partnered with another software development company for one of our products. The UI/UX designer in the team could not participate in discussions regarding the design due to his lack of communication skills. To be able to release the product on time, we tasked an external consultant to complete the UI design.
In both situations, we squandered precious resources –
money, time, and effort!
And we know we are not alone! Plenty of projects do not see the light of the day due to communication gone bad.
Our experience with our website development led us to start mindfultalk.in – we are aware that a lot of businesses and professionals could use help to communicate their ideas at work.

Mindfultalk.in helps professionals, business owners and leaders effectively communicate so that they can articulate their thoughts and ideas well, progress in their chosen profession and meet business goals.
Latha Srinivasan
When Latha started her career as a software professional in the early 90s, the software industry in India was very nascent. Even the most junior member in the team had to be adept at discussing requirements with the client, designing, coding, testing, documenting how the user had to interact with the software, and participating in user acceptance and training. There were no separate teams for each of these activities then – in short, it was baptism by fire.
Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable has its benefits – Latha took up project leadership roles quite early in her career. Leading teams and projects while dealing with clients across the globe laid the foundation for entrepreneurship. After two decades in the software industry working with IT behemoths -Wipro, AT&T, Oracle Financials, HCL Technologies etc., Latha became an entrepreneur and founded Chippersage
Chippersage works with school students, youth, and teachers helping them develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English using its proprietary software – ‘Flow of English’. Working closely with students for more than 8 years, Latha has a good understanding of the challenges faced by people for whom English is a second language.
The design of mindfultalk.in is the fusion of many experiences – the software industry, managing and coaching team members, entrepreneurial experience, and teaching ESL.
Latha enjoys reading books, writing blogs, coaching professionals, practising meditation, and going for long walks. She is also a start-up mentor and a toastmaster.

Seema Albal
Seema is an entrepreneur, product strategist and a spirited person. She has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry – starting as a Support engineer, then a Product architect and a freelancer before becoming an entrepreneur. During these years, she has been part of interactions with the support and developer teams, customer teams, company heads, sales and end consumers.
As an engineer and product lead, she found the need to excel in spoken and written communication, exhibit confidence, bring clarity to speech and thought and most importantly practise diplomacy at work.
As a freelancer, she had to further focus on personal branding, networking, negotiating and especially positive reinforcement to stay focused and upskill herself constantly. As an entrepreneur, she worked on her listening skills and developing empathy, persuading and storytelling skills and above all patience to respond and not react.
Looking back, she realizes that all these skills can help everyone on their path to progress, to translate their ideas into action and help them stand out in a crowd.
At mindfultalk.in, she works with professionals to coach them on these essential skills that are often overlooked but which can make a world of difference to everyone. She thinks it is best to start to early and never too late to start.
She is also a Communication and Innovation coach for 21st century professionals and enjoys coaching people with disabilities.
